El pintar y el oficio cotidiano que ha estado presente en todas las etapas de mi vida son las bases de mis obras. Son las herramientas que me permiten plasmar mis trabajos, donde en escenarios bajo una misma luz hago convivir personajes extemporáneos, en escenas verosímiles. Para mí como artista, el hacer es una forma tanto de aprendizaje como de comunicación. La perspectiva que me da ser migrante por varias generaciones me permite ver desde otro ángulo la convivencia de las distintas culturas, y me ubica  en una realidad que nos es tan actual.

Painting and the day-to-day work of “doing,” which has been a constant in every phase of my life, are the foundations of my art. They are the tools by which I set my work on canvas, where on stages lit by the same light, I bring together figures outside of the present time and place, in scenes that appear believable.   For me as an artist, doing and making are both a way of learning and a way of communicating. The perspective I’ve gained from being a multi-generation migrant gives me telling insights into the interaction of cultures, and it grounds me in a reality that is so compellingly present for all of us today.
